Speed Class Rules

Range Layout:

  1. For this class, you will need 1 target, with a FITA80cm face, set up at 10m from your shooting line.

  2. You will also need a stopwatch.

Procedure & Scoring

  1. For this class, you will need 6 arrows, which may be held in the hand or in the quiver.

  2. You are allowed to shoot 1 end of 6 arrows as sighters.

  3. For all ends, you may not touch your arrows until the timer starts.

FOR NOVICE ENTRIES

  1. Ends 1 & 2: You will have 30 seconds to shoot your 6 arrows. Any arrows that are not shot within the time limit must not be counted for scoring. Score your ends as normal (5 zone scoring).

  2. Ends 3 & 4: You will have 21 seconds to shoot your 6 arrows. Any arrows that are not shot within the time limit must not be counted for scoring. Score your ends as normal (5 zone scoring).

  3. Ends 5 & 6: You will have 12 seconds to shoot your 6 arrows. Any arrows that are not shot within the time limit must not be counted for scoring. Score your ends as normal (5 zone scoring).

FOR EXPERIENCED ENTRIES

  1. Ends 1 & 2: You will have 28 seconds to shoot your 6 arrows. Any arrows that are not shot within the time limit must not be counted for scoring. Score your ends as normal (5 zone scoring).

  2. Ends 3 & 4: You will have 19 seconds to shoot your 6 arrows. Any arrows that are not shot within the time limit must not be counted for scoring. Score your ends as normal (5 zone scoring).

  3. Ends 5 & 6: You will have 10 seconds to shoot your 6 arrows. Any arrows that are not shot within the time limit must not be counted for scoring. Score your ends as normal (5 zone scoring).
