MORE ABOUT EJM HORSEBACK ARCHERY

After setting up EJM Horseback Archery in February of 2021, it's been a roller coaster of a ride! I realised that I wanted to be able to offer the same level of coaching that you can seek out for other equestrian disciplines, such as dressage, and to allow my students to progress through to the highest levels of the sport if thats what they desired.

Since then, I have worked hard to achieve my Advanced Coach qualification with the BHAA, and in July 2023, I became the first British Coach to become a Certified Nemethy Horseback Archery Trainer with the Nemethy Academy in Hungary. The Nemethy Academy has one of the best Horseback Archery programmes in the world, and I train as frequently as I can with Christoph and his team in order to keep my skills and knowledge advancing. As well as coaching, I enjoy competing at the top level of the sport, and have made 5 GB Team appearances to date. I also enjoy competing at home on my own pony, Sebastian, who is a 14.1hh Welsh X who loves to run fast! I am also very involved with the British Horseback Archery Association, and I currently stand on the Board of Directors for them. The BHAA is the governing body for Horseback Archery, and I would recommend that any of my students become a member. During lessons, you can expect to receive the highest level of tuition, right through from never having picked up a bow and arrows before, through to achieving your own qualifications, gradings and competitive results. I also run online training on a variety of topics related to Horseback Archery which are open to everyone.
